Sinners, Saints and Paintball Warriors…that’s our kids, who do have a friend in Jesus. At our regular meeting, January 15th, Ms. Joy led the discussion about the nature of Jesus – He loves the lost cause, He loves the outcast (credit to Casting Crowns). The reality is we all fall short of the glory of God. We are the outcast, the leper at His feet; we are all sinners. By the grace of God, we have a friend in Jesus. It took some chair soccer and donut eating to make that all important point.
And, then there was paintball, 26 kids and 6 adults battled it out in Strasburg. Nothing like coming around the corner and meeting the opposition face to face. A quick trigger means survival, but a shot from the background into your mouth leaves you with orange lips and eliminated (thanks, Scotty). No major injuries, but the mandatory bruises and muscle pain for our more mature combatants.
Our Youth thank our church family for your overwhelming support. You have allowed us to do so much, to experience fun and fellowship and to learn about the way that leads to life. Do you feel used? God has used you to bless us.
