A Word From the Pastor

 

Rev. Tom Berlin, in his book, Bearing Fruit, shares that the two most powerful words for fruitful leadership in the church are: SO THAT.

 

From Exodus 25: 8 “Have them make me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them.”

 

From Burnt Factory’s own mission scripture, from Matthew 5:16  “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

 

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”  John 3:16

 

“God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.”   1st John 4:9

 

Burnt Factory UMC will soon be making some decisions so that more people may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

 

Our Visioning Committee will be meeting on Feb. 8th to come to a consensus on the direction our physical plant and campus need to move so that the mission of the church can continue to be realized and fruit can still be harvested!

 

We will need to, very quickly, come to a plan of action for our future so that those who are coming through our doors will have the opportunity to find Jesus in our sanctuary and among His people.

 

I would ask that we all remain in prayer so that the unity of the Spirit will continue to yield a bountiful harvest at BFUMC and so that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed in the most passionate way possible!

 

The mission of the church is: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!  Let us be about the work of God so that the good news will always be proclaimed at Burnt Factory United Methodist Church!
