Collections for C-CAP are on-going. Thanks to the congregation for their continued generosity!

 

Heifer Project donation cards are an on-going mission and ministry and we agreed to give monetary donations to both the Free Medical Clinic and Weekday Religious Education Program as well as to Teens Opposing Poverty (TOP).

 

Latest News

Thank you Brad Wagoner for heading up the Salvation Army dinner and to all who assisted with the preparation and serving of the meal.

 

It was decided at our August meeting not to host a WATTS week at our Church due to required inspections.  If the need presents itself, it may be determined to help another church with dinner.

 

Outreach voted to send money to the following:
- $200 to Care2Cure (Huntington’s Disease)
- Purchase 30 school kits for UMCOR at $11 each
- Support two churches of Pastor Wingo’s charge at $500 each

 

Pastor Steve is working to facilitate a mission trip for the tornado victims in Pulaski/Washington Counties.

 

September 15th ~ 10:00am
Burnt Factory will host the C-CAP Administrative Board meeting.  We will need to provide refreshments such as coffee and juice for 20-25 people.

 

September 23-25
Winchester District Focus on Mission weekend.
Melanie is exploring the idea of collecting diapers.  Watch for more news about this project.

 

Potluck Dinner ~ November 5th ~ 6:00pm
Jan Lower from Habitat for Humanity will be the guest speaker.

 

December 3rd, 10th and 17th
Bob Rodeffer is coordinating the Salvation Army Kettle Bell Ringing
outside J C Penney for the first three Saturdays in December.
